WHO WE ARE

Alchema was formed by the Lloyd-Watts family in 1986 and has its head office in Chester. The plant is based in Northumberland, having moved from the original North Wales site in 1994 as part of an expansion programme. The company is also involved with a Joint Venture operation based in Le Havre, France, which serves the Printed Circuit Board (PCB) market in mainland Europe.

The Company's aim is to develop long term relationships with customers from the electronics and related metal finishing industries in order to solve their chemical waste problems by providing a complete service which delivers sustainable, environmentally sound solutions whilst meeting both existing and future legislation.

In this respect, the Company's current development activities are focused on the recovery of metals from problematic wastes as well as responding to the WEEE directive.
